Giclée printing is a type of inkjet printing that uses high-quality, pigment-based inks to produce fine art reproductions. The name "Giclée" is derived from the French word "gicler" which means "to squirt or spray." Giclée printing uses a specialized inkjet printer that sprays microscopic droplets of ink onto archival quality paper or canvas. The result is a high-resolution, long-lasting print that closely resembles the original artwork. Giclée printing is often used to reproduce limited-edition prints, photographs, and paintings. The inks used in Giclée printing are UV-resistant and fade-resistant, ensuring that the print will last for many years without fading or discolouring. Additionally, giclée printing can produce a wide range of colors, including colours that are difficult to achieve with traditional printing methods.
